Feedback from authorities enforcing the CLP Regulation indicates that compliance needs to be improved in specific areas, notably:
- the use of Child Resistant Fastenings,
- the use of Tactile Warnings of Danger and
- the online sale of chemicals.
The reported findings also suggest that these CLP obligations are not well understood outside of the traditional supply chain for chemicals.
To help support an improvement in the safe use of chemicals through improved CLP compliance, DUCC and SMEunited developed these leaflets. They aim to provide readers with a high-level introduction to specific requirements of the CLP Regulation. Aimed at a general audience, these leaflets seek to complement the existing and detailed guidance provided by the European Chemicals Agency.
